Welcome!![]() My name is Andy Cowle and I am an English language teaching trainer, writer, materials specialist and business development consultant.
As a qualified, experienced teacher, I have worked for over 30 years visiting schools, colleges and universities in more than 40 countries, supporting ELT professionals with materials and delivering workshops and talks at conferences. I am known for enthusiastic, practical sessions, helping teachers to try new ideas and resources to connect language learning with the real world. I especially love to talk about using graded readers, film and storytelling. “Andy Cowle is the quintessential ELT presenter.”

What teachers say about Andy's talks:
"A wonderful lecturer and trainer, a man full of energy and knowledge who has given marvellous courses, workshops, and webinars to our teachers at Centro Escolar Patria, México. Always a pleasure to learn from him."
Mary Paz Banda English and French Coordinator - Centro Escolar Patria, Mexico "Andy's plenary talk was most illuminative and entertaining. He deserves special credit for the courage to deliver the opening plenary instead of a colleague who suddenly cancelled his trip to the IATEFL Hungary conference."
Péter Medgyes - Writer, Trainer - Hungary "As a presenter at our Foreign Languages Conference, Andy's talk on extensive reading raised a lot of enthusiasm. Visiting several schools for training in different cities in Turkey, he gave the teachers a chance to think what they were doing wrong, and how to adapt their teaching to a more student-centred program, and how to boost extensive reading with very sound, reliable, and easy-to-apply techniques."
Banu Kocas - Owner, ELI LIBER, Turkey "Thank you so much for such a refreshing webinar. I have just started to let my students choose their own book to read and it feels good to hear that I seem to be on the right way."
Sabrina Hengsberger - Teacher, Austria "I watched the webinar for very young learners. It was very inspiring."
Tatiana Kuznetzova - Teacher and Teacher Trainer, Secondary School #20, Khimki, Moscow region, Russia |
